Want to fight this summer?!?

Have you ever seen a movie with swords or fight scenes and wonder how they rarely get hurt? Think you have what it takes to fight like the combat pros? In this workshop, students will cover beginner stage combat movements, vocabulary, and techniques through unarmed and armed combat. Elements include physical workouts, stretching, story telling, safety lessons, and of course—fighting! Students will gain an understanding of the importance of safety and training before performing a scene on stage; and will develop the teamwork skills necessary to perform a believable fight, while maintaining safety and technique. This workshop will hold a showcase for students to demonstrate learned stunts and combinations on Friday, July 12.
Combat expert Josey Creger will be instructing this workshop. Students must dress in movable clothing (think P.E. attire), toe-covered shoes, and provide a water bottle and optional lunch.
