The Education program offers creative and performing arts learning opportunities that support the development of real-world skills for all. Our courses explore a variety of artistic subjects including acting, music, script writing, costuming, improvisation, set design, and more!
Aloha Adult Classes
Improv Level 2 – Intro to Long Form Styles
February 26 – April 2, 2023
Sundays, 4:00-6:00pm

This course will cover the foundations of Long Form Improvisation.
Students must have completed “Level 1 Improv: The FUNdamentals of Improvisation” in order to register for this course. Students who complete Level 2 can continue with the Improv series, which includes 6 consecutive courses designed to build knowledge of improv techniques and performance skills.
Class will meet from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Sundays from 2/26 – 4/2.
All participants MUST wear covered-toe shoes and are encouraged to bring a water bottle.
Improv Level 3 – Intro to Short Form Styles
April 23 – June 18, 2023
Sundays, 4:00-6:00pm
Early Bird $90 (thru 4/9/23), $100 thereafter

Little Theatre Club
Thursdays, 6 weeks

Little Theatre Club is a chance to introduce your child to the world of theatre! Over 6 one-hour sessions students learn basic performance techniques, familiarize themselves with theatre, and have fun. This class will end with a performance. It is our expectation that parents and families will be able to attend a final performance.
Theatre Thrivers
Wednesdays, 8 weeks

Ages 8 – 9
Theatre Thrivers is open to keiki ages 8 – 9. In this class students learn important skills useful on and offstage. Through seven 90 minute sessions students will play theatre games, learn the core concepts of theatre practice, and rehearse a short performance. It is our expectation that parents and families will be able to attend a final performance.
Tuesday Troupers
Tuesdays, 8 weeks

Ages 10 – 12
Tuesday Troupers is open to keiki ages 10 – 12. In this class students learn important skills useful on and offstage. Through eight 2-hour sessions students will learn and rehearse a short play, over that time they’ll improve their public speaking, develop problem-solving skills, and build friendships. It is our expectation that parents and families will be able to attend a final performance.
Aloha Teen Theatre
Ages 13-18 (residing on Hawaii Island)

Aloha Teen Theatre (ATT) is a FREE weekly program for ages 13-18 that explores the many elements and skills involved in the creative and performing arts industries! ATT also offers a unique opportunity for teens to collaborate and build valuable relationships with others who share similar interests- especially during these isolated times.
It’s participation and donations from you, our community, that bring these endeavors to fruition and provide new and empowering educational resources for all ages. Your contributions have provided over 400 participants a safe space to explore the creative and performing arts in the last year, and now over 1,200 participants online!
