This play takes a light approach to retelling Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Story.
A troupe of five talented actors will use comedy and music, to tell us the tale… with a twist.
This play is fast paced and funny!
Auditioning at the Aloha Theatre
Only actors who are auditioning for a part will be able to come inside the audition room. Parents and other guests may sit on the lanai or leave the theater and come back at the end of auditions.
Please review the production calendar and ensure that you are able to make all the performance dates. Performance date conflicts will immediately remove you from consideration. Missing a few rehearsal days does not need to be a big deal so long as the director is aware in advance and can plan around absences.

A note on casting
We are seeking actors ages 18+
This tight troupe of actors will be playing multiple roles, making this an athletic undertaking.
*The role of ACTOR ONE will be expected to sing.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
Kerry Matsumoto has been involved with the Aloha Theatre for over thirteen years. Her first role was as Mrs. Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank. From there, she appeared in I Hate Hamlet, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Arsenic and Old Lace, Pruning the Family Tree, Harvey, Clue, and Disaster – The Musical! Most recently, Kerry produced and starred in the two person play, The Gin Game.
Kerry has also been involved in improv for many years, first as a founding member of The Alohahas, and later as part of Aloha Theatre’s in-house troupe – The HiLine.
Ebeneezer Scrooge’s Big Aloha Theatre Christmas Show will be her directing debut for a main stage production (with more than one other actor)!
